What’s the weather forecast for LEJoG?

LEJoG is nearly here and less than a week to go before I travel to Penzance for an overnight stay before the main event starts next Monday .. holdall & rucksack almost packed just got a few last-minute things to put in later in the week,

What’s the weather going to be like, well after having a look based on the latest forecast I better pack my umbrella and wellies !!!

Penzance, Cornwall

Sun 14 May Weather 13°C Wind direction
Mon 15 May Weather 13°C Wind direction

Travelling Day & Day 1 looking a bit blustery, so 2 hours in Lands End on Monday will be interesting, hope there’s some shelter but photographs could be a bit dramatic depending on the conditions.

Carlisle

Mon 15 May Weather 14°C Wind direction
Tue 16 May Weather 15°C Wind direction

End of day 1 and beginning of Day 2 in Carlisle look better and warm too, late finish and early start combined for the long trek into Scotland towards Inverness and Wick.

Inverness

Tue 16 May Weather 13°C Wind direction

Wick

Tue 16 May Weather 12°C Wind direction

Wet & Windy Scotland awaits the Tykester but I will be within touching distance of John o Groats once I reach Wick and hopefully tick something else off my list, seeing the Northern Lights which are sometimes visible in the far north of Scotland and also the most northern Wetherspoons on the eve of the big day and completing LEJoG before the long trek home via Inverness.

John o’Groats

Inverness

So Day 3 I reach the end at John o Groats 955 miles later and hopefully on time, weather looks a little dodgy but even rain and thunderstorms can’t take away the feeling I will have on reaching my final destination.

Overnight stay in Inverness before the journey via Perth towards Edinburgh and a final trip back to Wolverhampton and a sense of elation and hopefully my £1000 target reached and maybe more for Help Harry Help Others, Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide & Prostate Cancer UK.

LEJoG 2017 by bus and train would not have happened without a lot of planning and support from family & friends and Thimbles Embroidery, The Cleveland Arms & Willenhall Ay We.co.uk

Fundraising total so far is £857 pledged or donated so getting near to my target now.
